Welcome back home, Mommy!

Finally, after 5 years, my mom is spending her first Christmas with us! Yup, welcome back home mom! My mom (aka Vickee Llamas), arrived last December 23, 2005. Her flight was delayed ... she was supposed to arrive December 22, 2005 at around 10:30 pm. Good thing mom was able to call us from Tokyo, Japan (one of her flight's stop overs) and told us that her flight would be delayed for about 3 hours.

This is the first time that Chloe will be fetching her Lola as a big kid. The previous years, she has no idea what we're doing at the airport and why we're fetching her grandma. I think, now that she's bigger, she understands better the concept of having a grandma that will be visiting her. And of course, she now knows of the "pasalubongs" that she is going to receive... hehehe! She and her Lola have been talking over the phone ... she has made her "bilins" and now, she can't keep her excitement to herself.

It was around 3 am when we got home ... though we were all so tired, I on the other hand, couldn't get some sleep ... I was too excited! Mom and I have been talking for hours before we finally realized that it was almost lunch time and we haven't had any sleep. The whole time (while Mon and Chloe were asleep), we opened the balikbayan boxes and hid their gifts so they won't spoil the surprise come Christmas.

Lunchtime, we headed to Duty Free ... Grabe! It took us almost 3 hours! It was traffic almost everywhere! We ate first at the fast food area because we were so famished! After a couple of hours, we headed back South to Shopwise Supermarket (Festival Mall, Filinvest, Alabang) to do some grocery shopping for the noche buena and for Christmas day.

Dinner, we spent at Jerry's Grill inside Alabang Town Center ... by the time we finished our sumptuos dinner, it was already past 10 in the evening.

Time went by so fast from the time mom arrived from the airport ... the next day was the 24th and we started preparing for the noche buena ... come Christmas day, Mon's parents and siblings are coming over ... Click here to view more pictures ...
